The safety and privacy of children, teens and their families is of paramount importance. We adhere to all applicable federal, state and local laws regarding research with children and protect the privacy and other rights of all participants in our research projects. iGameLab.com respects the privacy of parents and children and is committed to complying with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). The opinions of panelists about issues of interest to us or our clients. Opinions are always reported in aggregate only- 52% of gamers thought this-or-that, or 77% of teens ages 13-15 were aware of something-or-other. This information will be shared with our clients without identifying the identity of any participant. 2. Background information about the panelists. During the process of registering at iGameLab.com, panelists are asked a number of questions about themselves and their gaming activities, attitudes and behavior. This information is used as background information so that we can target surveys/research studies we conduct and to better interpret research findings. Background information is reported in aggregate only- for instance, we might report that, 28% of active gamers like the new game. 3. When a panelist registers at iGameLab.com we collect limited personally identifiable information in order to communicate by mail, email or telephone with that panelist, send checks, gift certificates and other rewards, and in order to personalize communication sent to the panelist. We will never share the personally identifiable information provided to us without first obtaining explicit permission from the panelist or for children under the age of 13 their parent or guardian to do so, and giving them an opportunity to opt out or otherwise prohibit such unrelated uses except iGameLab.com /Touchstone Research, Inc. may share information with a fulfillment (mailing) house in order to send gifts or prizes to participants, or to vendors or subcontractors engaged in data management/processing for iGameLab.com /Touchstone Research, Inc., or as part of a research study. Any fulfillment house or other vendor managing a iGameLab.com /Touchstone Research, Inc. program will agree to be bound by the privacy rules and restrictions contained in this notice. Once you are a registered user you can update your profile or remove yourself from the panel at any time. (iGamelLab.com's policy with respect to children under 13 is below) Parental/Guardian Consent Required for a Child under age 13 to Participate Touchstone Research, Inc./iGameLab.com requires the consent of parents or legal guardians before any child under age 13 may become a Panel member. A parent or legal guardian must first give permission. Before allowing participation Touchstone Research, Inc./iGameLab.com obtains consent from the child's parent or legal guardian. Discussion Boards/Chat Rooms and Other Public Areas Touchstone Research, Inc./iGameLab.com may offer chat, discussion/ bulletin board, multi-player games, or other public functions and any posting by you is considered public information available to other users. Any posting is governed by Touchstone Research, Inc./iGameLab.com Panelist Agreement. You should take care to not use personal information in your screen name or other information that might be publicly available to other users. Archived Information Touchstone Research, Inc./iGameLab.com maintains archives of its web logs, database, and other systems and information. Please note that it is possible some of this information may remain archived after Touchstone Research, Inc./iGameLab.com deletes the information from its active database (see the Web Logs paragraph above). Touchstone Research, Inc./iGameLab.com maintains archives for disaster recovery, legal and other non-marketing purposes. Special Contests or Promotions iGameLab.com may occasionally present a special contest or promotion that is sponsored by another company. To qualify for entry in that contest or promotion, we may ask you to provide personal information. If we plan to share that information with the sponsor(s) or with others, we will provide a statement to that effect in the contest or promotion terms.
